Closer and Closer

Dear Kindred Spirits in Christ,

Here we are. Another year has slipped in with either fanfare or the silent ticking of a clock. Either way, our journeys continue amid the screeches of babbling news and the tender, fervent prayers of our brethren. I wonder what our ancestors would say, looking down from the heavenly places, upon both the disturbing scenes, and the ones that still give us hope for humanity.

More importantly, what does God say? Deuteronomy 31:6 states: Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes before you. He will not leave or forsake you.

This is one of many unwavering promises from our faithful and almighty God. Here is another from Jeremiah 17:7 and a portion of 17:8. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters...And will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

We have protection and power to move forward in 2022, and to continue moving forward to the end of this dispensation! It's a daily walk, it's believing not what our eyes see, but what our spirits discern - what we know to be true to the very depths of our souls. There will be trials, but we will win. There will be tribulation, but we will overcome. Together, as the family of Christ, and as Christian soldiers scattered throughout the world, we will come together in unity and purpose when we rely on our heavenly Father as we claim His wondrous promises of victory.

We must look beyond our present circumstances as we focus on our eternal lives. Romans 8:18 declares: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Glory Hallelujah! Join me in praising God as we draw closer and closer to the end - and a bright, new beginning.

Love Always,

Marti
